The Victory: An Incredible Achievement
What makes this victory so remarkable is not just the first-place finish that Deijkers Loft secured, but also the fact that all three pigeons they entered placed in the rankings. A "clean sweep" that will be talked about in the pigeon racing community for a long time! The first pigeon from Deijkers Loft arrived at 14:57:08 with an impressive speed of 1448 meters per minute. The winning pigeon, known as "Joepke No. 1," took first place. His brother, "Bonte Remy No. 2," and a third pigeon finished in 164th and 580th places respectively against a field of 3,779 pigeons.

The Background: A Family of Champions
Deijkers Loft is a name that resonates in the pigeon racing sport! With an impressive history of victories and outstanding performances, they have become a household name. It is a wonderful example of how pigeon racing can still be a true family affair. At the helm is Edwin, who is fully supported by his mother Jeanne, son Dyvinio, and girlfriend Eline.

These enthusiastic and promising talents have been making their mark for years, achieving great results year after year. They consistently raise the bar higher. Their impressive series and early pigeons repeatedly place them among the champions of their club, combine, and section. They manage to position themselves multiple times a year in the top 10 of the grandmasters of their Section Brabant2000, an achievement in a competition with over 700 members! What champions!

The pigeons of the Deijkers family are not just one-hit wonders; they have a proven track record in various races. Both “Joepke” and “Bonte Remy” have previously shown they can handle the competition. “Joepke” already achieved a first place at Melun this year, and “Bonte Remy” a second place at Fontenay
.

The Day Long Distance: A New Success
This national race was the first time Deijkers Loft participated in the day long distance. For years, experts like Gert-Jan Beute and Paul Couwenberg had predicted that the Deijkers' pigeons could easily perform in the day long distance. When it became possible to enter both short distance and day long distance races, the family decided to take a chance with three pigeons that had flown excellently in recent weeks. The result was nothing short of spectacular.

Results to Be Proud Of
In the RCC WEST combine, the pigeons from Deijkers Loft also achieved impressive results: first and eighth against 353 pigeons, with the third pigeon in 34th place. All three pigeons finished in the top 10% of the combine, emphasizing their consistency and quality.

A Future Full of Promise
This triumphant victory in the national race from La Souteraine is a testament to the dedication, passion, and expertise of Deijkers Loft. It is clear that the future is bright for these champions. Their pigeons continue to impress, and their name will often be associated with victories and records.

For pigeon enthusiasts worldwide, this is an inspiring story of success, determination, and excellence. Deijkers Loft has set the bar high and shown what is possible with the right combination of talent, training, and dedication.

Congratulations, Deijkers Loft, on this fantastic achievement! We eagerly look forward to your future victories and will continue to follow your progress closely.

Until the next blog!
