  • Poitiers: 2nd and 65th National out of 10,574 yearlings, including a 1st Provincial victory against 1,644 birds. 
  • Bourges: Their pigeons achieved an incredible sweep with 2nd, 10th, 14th, and 15th National out of 9,654 yearlings. 
  • Souillac: Dominating once again, they earned 3rd, 7th, 20th, 56th, 65th, 80th, and 84th National out of 4,073 yearlings. 
  • Argenton: This race saw them secure 4th, 5th, 17th, 46th, 79th, and 82nd National against a competitive field of 11,777 yearlings. 
  • Tulle: Adding to their success, they took 4th, 15th, and 63rd National among 4,964 old birds. 
  • Limoges: Another top performance with 7th National out of 6,838 yearlings.
  • Bourges: Yet again, they dominated with positions 9th, 47th, 63rd, 76th, 91st, and 100th National from a massive field of 18,785 yearlings. They also claimed 1st National Zone against 2,272 birds. 

These consistent top finishes speak volumes about the quality and endurance of the Van Oeckel pigeons, as well as the brilliant management behind them. 

Championship Accolades Galore 

As if their race results weren’t impressive enough, Bart and Nance Van Oeckel also captured prestigious titles in the 2024 KBDB National Championships. Their accolades included: 

  • 5th National Ace Pigeon Middle Distance Old Birds 
  • 6th National Ace Pigeon Middle Distance Yearlings 
  • 7th National Champion Middle Distance Old/Yearlings 
  • 10th and 14th National Ace Pigeon All-Round Old/Yearlings 

Additionally, their loft boasts the best old pigeon in Belgium over 8 and 9 national middle-distance races and the top yearling over 9 national middle-distance races in 2024. These awards underscore not only their racing prowess but also the incredible consistency and reliability of their birds.
