After the initial training, pigeons will be tested in five high-stakes "HOT SPOTS," races that range between 110 km and 420 km, pushing these feathered athletes to their limits and showcasing their incredible abilities.
The final challenge? An epic 500 km race from Ofeherto, Hungary, scheduled for September 13th, 2025. With a remarkable total prize pool valued at €65,000, the competition will undoubtedly attract the most skilled pigeons and dedicated breeders from all over Europe and beyond!
Hot Spots & Prizes - Raising the Stakes
Each "HOT SPOT" serves as a thrilling race on its own, building anticipation and excitement toward the grand finale. Here are the exhilarating milestones of Derby Zagreb 2025:
- Hot Spot 1 - Zalakomar (110 km) on 02.08.2025
- Hot Spot 2 - Siofok (185 km) on 09.08.2025
- Hot Spot 3 - Pentela (240 km) on 16.08.2025
- Hot Spot 4 - Ceglid (307 km) on 23.08.2025
- Semifinal Hot Spot 5 - Hejokurt (420 km) on 30.08.2025
- Grand Final - Ofeherto (500 km) on 13.09.2025
The grand prize for the final race is a staggering €12,000 and a prestigious trophy for the winner. But it doesn't end there—pigeons placing up to 125th position will be awarded generous prizes, medals, and diplomas.
