Peter Lasterie and Hendri Zwiep have established a professional environment in Abanilla where honesty and quality are the gold standard. Because we constantly strive for an even better experience for both the fancier and the bird, several important things have changed for the upcoming season. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or looking at a One Loft Race Spain for the first time, here is what you need to know for 2026.
A New Vision for Team Entries
To make the competition more accessible and transparent, we have updated the setup for submitting teams. For the new season, you can enter a team of 10 pigeons where all 10 birds are immediately and fully activated for a total of 1000 euros. For those who prefer to start with a smaller number, it remains possible to submit individual pigeons for 125 euros per bird.
Transport this year will be handled entirely by our own team for just 10 euros per pigeon. By not using external transporters, we maintain complete control over the well being of the birds during their journey. Participants from Ireland and the United Kingdom can contact their local agents for specific transport arrangements.
Health: The Key to Survival
In the challenging conditions of the Murcia region, perfect health is not a luxury but a necessity. We cannot emphasize this enough: vaccinate your young pigeons against Paramyxo before they are transported. We strongly advise performing this vaccination twice. Only optimal resistance gives your pigeons the chance to become the “wall breakers” of the future.
Essential Dates for Your Calendar
Ensure your pigeons are ready for the collection rounds in the summer of 2026. We will adhere to the following dates for the various regions:
June: June 18th at the Lasterieshop in Germany and June 19th at the agents in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Spain.
July: July 24th in Germany and July 25th at the other European agents.
August: The final round on August 19th in Germany and August 20th in the remaining countries.
