What an absolute nightmare for the sport of Racing Pigeons. During the night of October 7th to 8th, 2025, thieves broke into the lofts of the late Marc and his son Geert Pollin in Snellegem, Belgium. More than 80 Racing Pigeons were stolen from one of the most respected names in Belgian pigeon sport. This was not just a theft – it was a direct attack on the heart and soul of our community.
The Pollin family, known for their unmatched class, dedication, and bloodlines, has fallen victim to cowards who have no understanding of what they’ve done. These were not mere birds — they were champions in the making, living athletes carrying the legacy of decades of passion and hard work.
As the Pigeon Boss, I’ll say it clearly: this is not just a crime, this is sacrilege in our sport.
The thieves struck in the dead of night. No alarm, no witnesses. Just silence where life once filled the loft. Many hoped the previous arrests had finally stopped this epidemic of pigeon thefts, but this brutal act proves otherwise. Earlier this month, Jente Van Driessche from Brussegem was also targeted — and now the Pollin lofts in Snellegem. The plague is back, and it’s spreading fast.
Anyone who noticed suspicious persons, vehicles, or movements in the area of Snellegem is urged to contact the police immediately.
Here is the complete list of stolen Racing Pigeons. Please share it widely — every sighting could bring one step closer to justice and recovery:

Every ring number tells a story of care, breeding, and dedication. Each of these pigeons deserves to come home.
The Pigeon Boss calls on every fancier, every club, and every enthusiast to stay alert and protect their lofts. Report suspicious activity immediately. This is the only way to stop the wave of pigeon thefts once and for all.
Because let’s be clear: whoever steals a pigeon, steals a piece of all of us.
Pigeon Boss will continue to follow this story closely and share updates as they come in. This is more than one theft — it’s a wake-up call to the entire global community of Racing Pigeons lovers.
Hopefully I have better news next time…
