❤️ A Personal Update from the Pigeon Boss

This weekend, I’m taking a short break from racing — and I want to share why.

Earlier this week, I experienced some unexpected health issues. A scheduled heart catheterization didn’t go as planned, and the day after, I suffered a minor TIA. It was a scary moment, and after a few days in the hospital and a full round of tests, I’m now safely back home and feeling better.

As you can imagine, this wasn’t the right week for me to race. My focus remains on the upcoming international races — especially Barcelona — so there’s still time to recover and prepare properly.

Head up and forward! Everything can break, but the Pigeon Boss can’t! 💪

🚀 Good Luck to All This Weekend!

To all fellow fanciers across the country: best of luck this Saturday. Enjoy the sunshine, the thrill of the race, and the magic of our sport.

Next week, I’ll be back in full force — with more stories, more pigeons, and more passion for the sport we love.

Until then: keep flying high.

Pigeon racing is more than a sport. It’s a way of life.
Let’s show the world what our pigeons can do, share this article wherever you can!

Yours In Racing Pigeon Passion,

Jan de Wijs
