Last weekend, another beautiful double header was on the agenda. While the established order stared hopefully at the clouds, the Piet Lindelauf Pigeons put on a masterclass that left the competition completely lost in the skies. Grab a good cup of coffee, lean back, and enjoy this spectacle!

The Battle of attrition at Charleville and the Magic of Sens
The weekend of July 11 and 12, 2026, had everything that makes our sport so intense and beautiful. The young birds were basketed for the French town of Charlevilles Mezieres and immediately faced a tough baptism of fire.Â
However, when the release signal sounded on Sunday morning at exactly 08:25 AM, the young talents were more than ready. The conditions were beautiful yet highly selective: a clear, cloudless sky and a light, biting northeast wind at a temperature of 19 degrees. A northeast headwind means the birds must fight for every meter on pure character and muscle power. This is the weather where the true cracks stand out.
What happened next in Vijlen defies all description. Against 523 competitors in the Oostelijk Zuid Limburg federation, the young Piet Lindelauf Pigeons did not just take the victory, they hijacked the entire top of the standings! Within a time frame of just twenty three seconds, nine pigeons dropped onto the landing board as if they were pulled down on a string.
At Charlevilles Mezieres, Piet won the following prizes against 685 pigeons on a single line: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 14, 16, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 38, 41, 43, 51, 52, 53, 54, 67, 70, 71, 73, 76, 89, 92, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100, 140, 145, 146, 147, 160, 174, 200-202-210-226 (52/59)
With an incredible 52 prizes out of 59 basketed birds, Piet achieved a fabulous prize percentage of 84.36% on this race (with a staggering 42 birds placing directly in the top 100!). A collective show of force that is second to none.
And as if that demonstration with the youngsters was not enough, Piet showed how to achieve maximum efficiency with minimal entries on the tough race from Sens. Only two old birds were basketed for this flight. Piet won the following prizes on a single line: 1, 2 (a hundred percent score!). With two prizes from two entered birds, a prize percentage of exactly 100% was achieved. A fabulous performance that highlights the perfect condition and absolute quality of the entire colony in Vijlen.

Fanciers all over the world succeed with the introduction of the fast, character filled pigeons from Vijlen.
