Welcome bosses of the airspace! Today we dive into the absolute epicenter of the Dutch pigeon racing sport. We are talking about a loft where passion, ruthless selection and a pure winning mentality merge into an unbeatable machine. I am of course talking about Team van Oss Pigeons from Den Bosch. What these men pull out of their hat every week borders on the unbelievable. Grab a cup of coffee, lean back and enjoy a display of top sport that will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
The Demolition Ball of Chimay
Last Saturday April 25 2026 it was that time again. Racing area 1 of Section 3 was on edge for the race from Chimay. At ten to one in the afternoon the baskets opened and 3409 pigeons stormed into the sky. The conditions on the racing line? A clear blue sky with a vicious and chilly wind right on the beak. Real working weather. The exact type of weather where the amateurs drop out and the true gladiators rise.
And who claims the absolute throne? Team van Oss Pigeons. With an insane speed of over 1359 meters per minute across nearly 197 kilometers they let their first champion drop on the landing board like a comet. Bam! First place against 3409 pigeons. But it did not stop there. Not even two minutes later the next class act arrived, good for a rock solid third place on the podium. With this they effortlessly defeated giants like Team Hooymans. This is no longer luck, this is pure domination.
A History of Gold
This success does not come out of nowhere. Irving van Oss and his men have built a list of achievements over the past few years that the average fancier can only dream of. In 2025 they were already the absolute top performers of Section Oost Brabant. But we all know their legendary strikes. Who does not remember that magical first, second and fourth NPO from Chateauroux? Or that extremely heavy edition of Issoudun where they ruthlessly secured the first National Sector 1 Rayon B and also conquered the title First National Champion One Day Long Distance Nominated NPO in 2019.
And then the pigeons themselves. The foundations of this success story rest on phenomenons like Olympic Yoni and the peerless Broken Leg with ring number 1665605 from 2016. These pigeons have a breeding value of incalculable proportions. It is therefore no surprise that countless other top lofts at home and abroad swear by the genetics of Team van Oss Pigeons to lift their own racing team to an extremely high level.
The Ultimate Crowning for the Sport
This is exactly the reason why we all love the pigeon racing sport so incredibly much. The hours of preparation, scraping the lofts in the early morning, the search for the perfect system and the boundless dedication. It all comes together in that one magical moment when a pigeon drops from the sky like a bullet.
Team van Oss Pigeons proves that with bravado, a rock hard approach and the very best bloodlines absolutely everything is possible. They raise the bar a little higher every season and inspire a whole new generation of fanciers. Do you also want to fly the competition into a pile? Then look at the masters from Den Bosch and learn. The pigeon racing sport is alive and kicking and more beautiful than ever before!
