The Racing Program: A True Test of Grit
At Derby AS Croatia they do not believe in lucky shots. The program is psychologically brilliant and designed to let the pigeons perform at their absolute peak.
The preparation begins with 18 training flights ranging from 5 to 70 kilometers to build confidence.
Following this are 5 Hotspot races that vary from 150 to 350 kilometers.
The Semi Final over 450 kilometers serves as the final major hurdle before the climax.
The Grand Final is a spectacular flight of 550 kilometers where the real selection takes place.
For the ironclad pigeons that simply refuse to quit there is an optional Super Final covering a staggering 620 kilometers.
In total the pigeons cover more than 3,200 kilometers during the season which provides an unprecedented opportunity to discover the best bloodlines in your loft.
A Prize Fund That Honors Performance
The stakes are high and the rewards are commensurate. With a total prize fund of €60,000 this is one of the most attractive races in Southeast Europe.
The winner of the Grand Final takes home a sum of €12,000.
Cash prizes are awarded up to the 50th position in the final race.
Extra trophies and titles are available for Ace Pigeons in various distance categories.
For the Super Final a massive 70% of the prize money is paid out directly to participants.
