Welcome to the enchanting world of pigeon racing. There is truly nothing as magical as the early morning hours when you scan the skies full of adrenaline, waiting for that one glimpse of your winged athlete returning home with unprecedented power. It is the ultimate connection between human and animal, a sport full of passion and pure emotion. And when we talk about the absolute pinnacle of this beautiful sport, we immediately arrive in the picturesque town of Vijlen. Here, Piet Lindelauf proves week in and week out that perfection can be crafted.

Grab a cup of coffee, lean back, and enjoy the ride, because what The Pigeon Boss saw last weekend defies all description!

The Sourdun Wrecking Ball

Saturday, May 9, 2026, was the day the skies above Vijlen were dominated by pure quality. The release from Sourdun took place at 08:15 AM. With 14304 pigeons in the competition, we knew it was going to be a true battle of the titans. The weather was perfect for the real champions: light cloud cover, 12 degrees, and a weak northeast wind. This is the moment when real pigeon enthusiasts come alive. No tailwind, but working hard for every single kilometer!

Piet Lindelauf Pigeons did not just arrive, they dictated the results with crushing dominance. The phenomenons thundered across the distance of over 313 kilometers with an unmatched speed of 1278 meters per minute. Just look at these bizarre figures in Section 4 East South Limburg against 3471 competitors:

  • 1st place for the powerhouse with ring NL.24-8598618.

  • 2nd place arriving just a second later for ring NL.25 1472777.

  • 3rd place clocked merely one second after that.

  • Further down the top fifteen, this grandmaster also casually grabs places 7, 12, and 13.

At the provincial level against the immense mass of 14304 pigeons, the haul was equally sensational with a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 14th, 34th, and 36th place. The competition just stood there and watched. This is no longer luck, this is pure science wrapped in feathers!

The Unstoppable Winner, Young Ace A Glorious Symbol of Modern Pigeon Racing

The magnificent hen Young Ace bearing ring number NL.24-8598618 (hen) is an absolute sensation and the perfect ambassador for the wonderful world of pigeon racing. As the undisputed winner from Sourdun against a mighty peloton of 3471 competitors she proved to possess otherworldly speed and a flawless compass. This phenomenal achievement absolutely does not stand alone because with the crown of first Provincial Ace Pigeon in 2024 against more than ten thousand pigeons she simply belongs to the absolute elite. Blessed with the golden blood of giants like father Rocky and mother Gouden Crackje this super bird shows what pure passion and a brilliant vision on breeding can achieve. It is an unprecedented joy to see how these peerless aerial athletes brave the elements week after week and they turn our formidable sport into a true triumphal procession full of excitement and victories!

A Season Full of Historic Highlights

The Sourdun victory did not come out of nowhere. Earlier this season, on April 25, 2026, the Piet Lindelauf Pigeons already showcased a masterclass from Rethel. Under a clear blue sky and with 14 degrees, it was another demonstration of brute force. Against 3681 pigeons, Piet convincingly took 1st place. The winning superstar with ring NL25 1472774 thundered across the flight line with an average speed of 1368 meters per minute. And let us not forget the formidable performances of 2025, when Piet crowned himself 1st Best Fancier of the Netherlands Unnominated and managed to secure a massive six national top ten rankings.

The Golden DNA: The Legacy of Gerard and Liam

Behind these dizzying successes lies a system of iron discipline and decades of uncompromising selection. Piet masterfully builds on the foundation laid by his legendary father Gerard Lindelauf, who sadly passed away in November 2024. Together they created a dynasty that is absolutely unparalleled.

The absolute cornerstone of this flying fortress is miracle breeder Liam with ring number NL.13-1544966. This super breeder is simply the engine behind countless first prize winners and national ace pigeons. His genes guarantee success, whether the sun is blazing or the conditions are grueling. Besides the influence of Liam, we see world famous bloodlines like Goudegien, The Spike, and Wonderboy. This gold flows through the veins of every athlete at the loft in Vijlen.

This is exactly why pigeon racing conquers so many hearts worldwide. It requires dedication, knowledge, guts, and an unconditional love for the pigeon. Fanciers like Piet elevate the sport to a level that inspires us all to get the very best out of our own colony. Keep enjoying, keep dreaming, and remember well: the bar has just been raised a little higher by the maestro from Vijlen!

Keep on following Piet!
