With 14304 pigeons in the competition, we knew it was going to be a true battle of the titans. The weather was perfect for the real champions: light cloud cover, 12 degrees, and a weak northeast wind. This is the moment when real pigeon enthusiasts come alive. No tailwind, but working hard for every single kilometer!
Piet Lindelauf Pigeons did not just arrive, they dictated the results with crushing dominance. The phenomenons thundered across the distance of over 313 kilometers with an unmatched speed of 1278 meters per minute. Just look at these bizarre figures in Section 4 East South Limburg against 3471 competitors:
1st place for the powerhouse with ring NL.24-8598618.
2nd place arriving just a second later for ring NL.25 1472777.
3rd place clocked merely one second after that.
Further down the top fifteen, this grandmaster also casually grabs places 7, 12, and 13.
At the provincial level against the immense mass of 14304 pigeons, the haul was equally sensational with a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 14th, 34th, and 36th place. The competition just stood there and watched. This is no longer luck, this is pure science wrapped in feathers!

Blessed with the golden blood of giants like father Rocky and mother Gouden Crackje this super bird shows what pure passion and a brilliant vision on breeding can achieve. It is an unprecedented joy to see how these peerless aerial athletes brave the elements week after week and they turn our formidable sport into a true triumphal procession full of excitement and victories!

The Sourdun victory did not come out of nowhere. Earlier this season, on April 25, 2026, the Piet Lindelauf Pigeons already showcased a masterclass from Rethel. Under a clear blue sky and with 14 degrees, it was another demonstration of brute force. Against 3681 pigeons, Piet convincingly took 1st place. The winning superstar with ring NL25 1472774 thundered across the flight line with an average speed of 1368 meters per minute. And let us not forget the formidable performances of 2025, when Piet crowned himself 1st Best Fancier of the Netherlands Unnominated and managed to secure a massive six national top ten rankings.
