With Terry taking over as President of the American Racing Pigeon Union, a new chapter begins for American pigeon racing.
First of all, congratulations to Terry. Leading the AU is an honour, but also a responsibility. The organisation represents clubs, fanciers and a sport with a long and proud history.
The challenge now is to look forward.
Pigeon racing has everything needed to inspire a new generation. Great competition, remarkable pigeons, strong friendships and that unique feeling every fancier knows when the first bird appears in the distance.
That is the heart of our sport.
The American Racing Pigeon Union can help protect that tradition while also making pigeon racing stronger, more visible and easier to discover. Supporting clubs, listening to fanciers and promoting the sport should remain at the centre of that mission.

Good leadership stays close to the loft.
It remembers the champion, the small backyard fancier, the volunteer at the club and the newcomer holding a racing pigeon for the first time.
Those people are the future of the sport.
So congratulations, Terry.
Listen to the fanciers, support the clubs and show America what racing pigeons are truly about.
A new chapter has started for the American Racing Pigeon Union.
Now let us make it one worth remembering.
