What happens when a breeding family produces Olympiad champions, national ace pigeons and outstanding winners in several different lofts? It earns a reputation that travels far beyond its original home.Â
That is precisely the story behind Evert Diepeveen from Keldonk, whose proven bloodlines are once again attracting attention.
Now, 21 youngsters from his 2026 breeding season are being offered through Duiven.net, giving racing pigeon enthusiasts the opportunity to explore descendants of his celebrated foundation pigeons, Super 01 and Gilbert.
The auction closes on Tuesday, 27 October 2026 at 21:00 Dutch time.
For ambitious fanciers who appreciate proven racing families, there is plenty here to get excited about.
Evert Diepeveen: A Reputation Built on Results
Evert Diepeveen established his loft at its present location in Keldonk in 2007. What followed was an impressive period of competitive success, with championship titles and outstanding individual performances confirming the quality of his racing pigeons.
In 2011, he claimed the prestigious Keizer title in The Best of The Best competition.
His reputation continued to grow, culminating in one of the defining achievements of his racing career.
In 2017, Diepeveen became 1st National Champion Sprint Designated in the Netherlands, a title that reflects outstanding performance at the highest level of Dutch pigeon racing.
That same season, his pigeon NL15-1842171, known as Kittel, finished 2nd National Ace Pigeon Sprint.
The success was no isolated incident. In 2019, Diepeveen finished 2nd National Champion Sprint Designated, further strengthening his standing among the country’s accomplished sprint specialists.
His record also includes excellent performances at middle distance, demonstrating that his loft was capable of producing competitive pigeons across different racing disciplines.
Yet the real significance of these achievements becomes even more interesting when examining the breeding families responsible for them.
Super 01 and Gilbert: The Foundations of a Successful Family
Two names dominate the breeding story of Evert Diepeveen: Super 01 and Gilbert.
Super 01, NL08-1722401, established himself as an exceptional racing pigeon with 18 prizes in the top one percent during three years of competition.
His victories included 1st Nanteuil against 4,013 pigeons, 1st Nanteuil against 3,342 pigeons and 1st Péronne against 3,165 pigeons.
These achievements were impressive enough, but his influence as a breeding pigeon would prove equally important.
Gilbert, NL10-4178880, was another outstanding performer, winning 1st National Ace Pigeon Allround in the 2011 TBOTB competition.
He subsequently established himself as an important foundation breeder, contributing to several highly successful generations.
Together, these two pigeons became central to Diepeveen’s breeding programme.
And the results of their descendants tell a remarkable story.
Five Outstanding References That Demonstrate the Quality
One of the most convincing measures of a breeding family’s value is whether its descendants can achieve excellent results in other lofts.
In the case of Super 01 and Gilbert, there are several compelling examples.
Olympic Maria: International Glory with Foeke Hoekstra
Perhaps the finest reference is Olympic Maria, NL21-4225704, raced by Foeke Hoekstra from Ternaard.
This exceptional hen won 1st Olympiad Pigeon Speed at Maastricht in 2024, representing the Netherlands at the highest international level.
Her racing record includes 1st Weert against 4,803 pigeons, 1st Chimay against 3,715 pigeons and another 1st Weert against 3,004 pigeons.
She also won 1st Venlo against 1,938 pigeons.
What makes Olympic Maria especially relevant to Evert Diepeveen is her pedigree.
Her mother, NL20-1627289, is a daughter of Super 01, combined with the bloodline of Olympic Nicole from Henri van den Berg.
Her father is the renowned breeding cock Blue Dream.
This successful combination demonstrates how the Super 01 bloodline can contribute to exceptional racing achievements when paired with other proven breeding families.
Comb. Koolen: A National Young Pigeon Ace Champion
Another impressive reference comes from Combination Koolen in Erp.
Their pigeon NL21-1330498, known as Jaronneke, achieved the prestigious title of 1st National Ace Pigeon Young Birds NPO in 2021.
According to Diepeveen’s breeding records, Gilbert is a grandfather of this outstanding cock.
Jaronneke’s ancestry also includes important Van de Pasch bloodlines, highlighting the contribution of different breeding families to his success.
Nevertheless, the presence of Gilbert in the pedigree provides another excellent example of how Diepeveen’s foundation stock has contributed to national achievements beyond his own loft.
W. van Teefelen & Son: A Grand Prix Victory at Nanteuil
A particularly interesting reference comes from W. van Teefelen & Son from Wamel.
In 2022, their pigeon Julia, NL21-1010563, achieved 1st NPO Grand Prix Nanteuil against 5,809 pigeons.
According to the pedigree information published with the current Duiven.net auction, Julia is a granddaughter of a son of Super 01.
This result is especially relevant because the same family connection appears in the ancestry of the Super 731 family, which features prominently in the current auction.
For breeders studying the available youngsters, that is a connection worth investigating.
Ted van Wel: A Strong Provincial Performance at Chimay
Another excellent reference comes from Ted van Wel from Dreumel.
In 2021, a pigeon carrying the combined bloodlines of Gilbert and Super 01 achieved 2nd Provincial Chimay against approximately 11,000 pigeons.
Competing successfully against such a large field is an achievement that deserves recognition.
More importantly, it adds another example of the two foundation families producing competitive pigeons outside Diepeveen’s own racing loft.
Jan van Bentem: Victory at Melun
The fifth reference comes from Jan van Bentem from Woudenberg.
Diepeveen’s published reference records report that Van Bentem achieved 1st Melun in 2022 with a grandchild of Super 01.
Although the published reference does not specify the number of competing pigeons, the victory adds another name to the group of fanciers who have achieved success with descendants of Diepeveen’s foundation breeder.
Taken together, these five references paint an interesting picture.
The Super 01 and Gilbert families have contributed to success at international, national, provincial and race level, in several different lofts.
That is exactly the kind of breeding history experienced fanciers want to examine when selecting pigeons for their own future breeding programmes.

Super 731: The Next Generation Makes Its Mark in 2026
The story does not end with past achievements.
One of the most exciting recent examples is Super 731, NL26-8194731, a young cock raced by the Raaijmakers/Diepeveen combination in 2026.
According to the published results, Super 731 achieved 1st Bierges against 5,549 pigeons in racing areas 5 and 6 of Section 3 Oost Brabant.
He also recorded 1st Dizy le Gros against 2,135 pigeons in those same racing areas.
The auction presentation additionally places Super 731 fifth in the 2026 PIPA ranking for Best Young Sprint Pigeon of the Netherlands.
These performances establish an important connection between Diepeveen’s foundation breeders and the current generation of young racing pigeons.
And that connection leads directly to one of the highlights of this auction.
Lot 1, NL26-8194786, is a full sister of Super 731.
Her pedigree brings together breeding influences from the G. van Schaijk family and descendants of Super 01 and Gilbert.
For fanciers following proven racing families, this relationship certainly deserves attention.
Of course, an excellent pedigree is no guarantee of future winners. Selection, health, pairing decisions and loft management remain essential.
Nevertheless, successful relatives offer valuable information when assessing the breeding potential of a particular family.
A New Chapter with Raaijmakers and Diepeveen
Although Evert stepped away from competing independently, his involvement in pigeon racing has continued.
In 2024, he formed a partnership with his friend Wiljan Raaijmakers from Odiliapeel.
Together, they compete under the name Raaijmakers/Diepeveen.
A substantial part of Diepeveen’s breeding stock, together with selected outstanding racing pigeons, was introduced into the partnership.
The partnership’s published 2026 results include excellent performances at Dizy le Gros, Bierges, Chimay and Sourdun.
The breeding programme therefore continues to be evaluated in competition rather than relying solely on historical achievements.
Alongside descendants of Super 01 and Gilbert, the auction collection includes influences from Nico Pronk, Rob van der Pas, Peter Crans and the Porsche 947 family, and Gerrit van Schaijk.
These introductions contribute further possibilities for breeders interested in combining established bloodlines with other successful racing families.
21 Youngsters with a Proven Racing Heritage
The current Duiven.net auction consists of 21 youngsters bred in 2026, representing the established breeding families of Evert Diepeveen.
The pigeons were introduced with starting bids of €45, with actual bidding determining the final prices.
Interested fanciers should examine the individual pedigrees carefully, particularly the relationships with Super 01, Gilbert, Olympic Maria, Olympic 0056 and the latest successful generation represented by Super 731.
There is an important distinction between simply buying a pigeon with a famous name somewhere in its pedigree and selecting a youngster whose ancestry fits a clear breeding strategy.
The quality of the parents, the generations connecting them to successful racers and the compatibility with an existing loft all deserve attention.
But one thing is clear.
The breeding history behind this auction offers plenty for serious fanciers to study.
Evert Diepeveen has demonstrated what these families have achieved in his own loft. The performances of their descendants elsewhere, including international Olympiad recognition and national ace pigeon titles, add further weight to that record.
Championships build a reputation. Successful descendants keep that reputation alive.
And with 21 youngsters now available, this Evert Diepeveen auction presents another opportunity to explore a family of racing pigeons with a compelling competitive history.
