The engines in Born are roaring at a speed that leaves the competition dizzy! Anyone who thought the reigning king of Limburg would quietly settle into an armchair after his unparalleled 2025 blockbuster season had it completely wrong. Huub Hermans is steaming through 2026 like a freight train with no brakes. Last weekend, he hit the mark once again on the classic race from French Reims. The young generation stepped up to the front and left no room for doubt: the future in Born has already begun!
Reims July 25, 2026: A True Test of Strength in the Heat
On Saturday morning at exactly 08:30 AM, the starting signal was given in Reims. An impressive armada of 4,130 Limburg young birds took to the sky under a bright blue, cloudless afternoon sun. With a headwinds from the northeast (force 2) and temperatures quickly climbing to a sizzling 30 degrees Celsius, a fair yet punishing flight line awaited them.
These were no conditions for lucky stragglers or tailwind flyers. This was territory for pure athletes with muscles like steel cables, razor-sharp orientation, and an ironclad character.
The Numbers Under the Microscope
Huub Hermans basketed a carefully selected squad of 31 young gladiators for this baptism of fire. What these athletes put on paper was nothing short of statistical dominance:
19 Heavy-Hitting Prizes Out of 31 Birds: That translates to a staggering prize rate of over 61%!
10 Pigeons in the Top 15% of the Results: The arrival chain began at 62nd provincial against 4,130 birds, after which the arrivals followed in rapid succession: 62, 103, 164, 185, 261, 373, 428, 506, 599, and 632!
Gold in the Club: Within club 2504, Huub claimed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with resounding authority.
Early Bird with True Speed: The first young star, NL26-8257811M, took victory in the club and stormed to the absolute top provincially, clocking a speed of no less than 1,426.514 meters per minute over 235.375 kilometers.
The pigeons rained down on the roof in Born. While the competition was still staring anxiously at an empty sky, the Hermans train was already sitting comfortably back in the loft!

The Standings: Undefeated at a Lonely Height
With this fantastic series of young birds, Huub highlights his game-changing form in 2026. The current standings speak for themselves and prove the colony is supreme across all disciplines:
1st General Champion Afdeling Limburg: Huub proudly tops the rankings as the undisputed number 1 of the entire province!
7 Teletext Cards with the Old Birds: In the current season, the coveted Teletext position has already been secured seven times by the old and yearling birds. Pure class!
1st Ace Pigeon Yearlings Vlieggebied Midden Limburg: The next generation is ready, and the depth of quality across the board is unprecedented.
It proves once again that Hermans Pigeons is not just a name, but a global hallmark of quality that guarantees speed, power, and endurance.
System, Strict Selection, and Indestructible Genetics
Behind these weekly chain results lies no coincidence or luck. In Born, an elite sports mentality rules the roost. Everything is built on a rock-solid foundation, where roughly 85% consists of the legendary Van Loon strain via Thei Bours. Over the years, this iron bloodline has been refined with the very best blood of icons such as Dirk van Dyck (Kannibaal line) and Pieter Veenstra.
The recipe for these continuous triumphs is simple yet ruthless:
Loft Management and Rhythm: Spacious, perfectly ventilated lofts where the climate is carefully managed. Training routines run like clockwork.
Nutrition of Champions: High-quality Patagoon mixtures supplemented with Willem de Bruijn’s famous Ochtendmix, P40 pellets, and peanuts for that extra tank of fuel.
Honest but Severe Selection: After the season, about two-thirds of the loft must pack their bags. Only birds that repeatedly fly at the absolute front earn the right to stay another year.
A Global Household Name: Hermans Pigeons
The quality of these winged athletes doesn’t stop at the borders of Born, as proven by hundreds of references across the globe. From Olympiad pigeons in Poznan and Maastricht to national ace birds and winners in Poland, Hungary, Austria, and Slovakia. Even in the most grueling One Loft Races worldwide, such as the Victoria Falls World Challenge and the extreme final of the Lang Lang Buana race in Indonesia (1,145 km!), descendants of the famous Teletext lines fly at the absolute top.
The Future Looks Bright for Born
With the fantastic result from Reims in the bag and the top spot in the general championship firmly in hand, the Hermans Express thunders full speed ahead toward the upcoming races. The young birds have made their mark, the old team has proven what they are capable of, and the passion in Born shines brighter than ever!
Keep a close eye on the results sheets, because these blue sky stormers are nowhere near done rewriting the history books. Huub Hermans shows just how beautiful, thrilling, and addictive our pigeon sport can be!
