Bauke Keekstra

In the quiet Frisian village of Bornwird, tucked away in the northern Netherlands, something special is happening. Since 1978, Bauke Keekstra has dedicated his live to the sport of pigeon racing. What started with local success in the sprint and middle-distance races evolved into an elite marathon racing program. Today, he is a household name in the Dutch and international long-distance scene, with a colony built on heart, heritage, and hard-earned results.
