The 2026 season is in full swing, and the Hermans colony continues to perform at the highest level week after week.
Last weekend, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, Huub Hermans showed once again how to put a wonderful series on paper with pure class, a rock solid system, and unadulterated passion. With warm summer temperatures of 30 degrees and a light breeze from the northeast, it became a beautiful, fair test for the true athletes of the blue sky.
Reims and Issoudun: Beautiful Series on Two Fronts
It was a weekend where the birds had to work hard to maintain the correct line. Huub demonstrated that his team belongs to the absolute top, both on the shorter distance and the one day long distance.
Reims: A Wonderful Chain Result Against 4,198 Pigeons
On the shorter flight from Reims (235 kilometers), the birds were liberated at 07:30 AM. Unfortunately, the wind on this day was not favorable enough for Huub to capture the absolute number one position at the provincial level, but the series that dropped right after was truly masterful. Huub basketed 24 pigeons here and managed to claim no fewer than 16 prizes against 4,198 pigeons in the competition!

The real fireworks on the long distance came from Issoudun (532 kilometers). Released at 07:00 AM, this turned into a magnificent one day long distance flight. Huub brought 20 ironclad racers to the start and achieved a fantastic result with 9 beautiful prizes against 1,379 pigeons in the competition.
