No walk in the park, but an honest sprint race from Chimay where the true athletes stand up and noble blood immediately shows its worth. And yes, the laws of genetics did their job: the men pulled it off once again!
The Release in Den Bosch: A Synchronized Landing Straight out of the Textbook
On Saturday morning, June 20, 2026, at exactly ten to nine, the liberation signal sounded in Chimay. A beautiful fleet of 576 pigeons took to the sky. The conditions beforehand looked interesting: a lightly clouded sky, temperatures rising to 22 degrees, and a gentle breeze from the northwest blowing right on the beak. This is no weather for lucky seekers. This is real working weather where pigeons must have their compass flawlessly dialed in and keep their grit from start to finish.
What happened around eleven o’clock in Den Bosch was pure magic. The suspense you feel while staring at the distant horizon, the silence before the storm, and then that sudden flash. Racing home at a fabulous top speed of 1472.018 meters per minute, the blue hen NL.24-8518837V stretched her wings and was the first to hit the landing board. Gold in the region!
But before arms could even be thrown up in celebration, the next warrior dropped onto the plank exactly seven seconds later. The NL.25-1394843 captured the silver podium spot with a rock-solid speed of 1470.731 meters per minute. A textbook one-two victory. That isn’t luck; that is the unstoppable power of elite bloodlines.

While clocks across the rest of the region remained chillingly quiet, things were absolute chaos on the landing board at the van Oss Pigeons loft.
