On Saturday July 18 2026, the national one day long distance spectacle from Issoudun was on the schedule. At exactly 07:30 AM, over 21000 pigeons were released into the skies for a journey of approximately 580 kilometers heading north. With a moderate northwesterly wind, lightly clouded skies and temperatures around 22 degrees, this was honest racing weather where true athletes make the difference. No lucky seekers at the front, but racers with razor sharp compasses and iron stamina.

1st NPO Saint Soupplets against 18841 pigeons: With the wonder hen NL.24-8518769 as their first nominated bird, the team captured a spectacular 1st NPO victory over more than 343 kilometers.
1st Provincial Sens against 7816 pigeons: A historic flight where two full sisters (NL.25-1394935V and NL.25-1394828V) claimed 1st and 10th Provincial under very tough working conditions.
1st and 2nd Sens Rayon West against 4141 pigeons: Striking gold again on Sens, where lightning fast arrivals secured both 1st and 2nd place in the rayon.
1st and 2nd Chimay BCC against 576 pigeons: A magnificent double victory on the sprint where 11 pigeons arrived at the absolute top of the sheet within just three minutes.
11th and 13th National Chateauroux against 36386 pigeons: On a grueling national classic, the racers from Den Bosch proved they belong to the absolute world elite over longer distances, winning 43 national prizes out of 58 birds sent.
