In a thrilling race from Dizy Le Gros, the Eijerkamp-Paalman team astounded the pigeon racing community. With an impressive 23,938 pigeons competing for victory, represented by 930 enthusiasts from Section 9 East Netherlands, this race once again demonstrated why pigeon racing is such a captivating and dynamic sport.

The pigeons were released at 8:15 AM under perfect, albeit challenging, conditions. With a temperature of 8 degrees and a gentle northeast wind, the conditions were tough but fair for all competing pigeons. This scenario tested each pigeon, and only the strongest and smartest could excel.

The Eijerkamp-Paalman combination, already well-known in pigeon racing, not only went home with the first prize but also dominated the competition by claiming the second place as well. But their success didn't stop there. They continued to shine with impressive positions such as 5th, 13th, 22nd, 40th, 66th, 88th, and 96th, bringing a total of 9 pigeons into the top 100. A true testament to their quality and strategy, as 67 of their 93 entered pigeons won a prize!

The star of the show was undoubtedly “Rexy” with ring number NL.22-8228948, who achieved first place with a speed of 1220 meters per minute, despite the opposing northeast wind. This pigeon already boasts an impressive track record, with a 7th place in the National Ace Pigeon Middle Distance PIPA ranking last year.

This result is not only a proof of the excellent training and care from Eijerkamp-Paalman but also underscores the deep knowledge and dedication required to perform at the top level in this sport. Evert Jan and Arnold, the driving forces behind this formidable combination, have once again reinforced their reputation as top breeders and strategists.

This performance is a vivid reminder of the beauty and excitement of pigeon racing. It shows that behind every race lies not only the speed of the pigeons but also the unmatched bond and cooperation between human and bird. This success story will undoubtedly serve as inspiration for both current and future generations of pigeon enthusiasts.

As we celebrate this fantastic victory, we look forward to more updates and performances, particularly in the national flights later this year. The world of pigeon racing is alive and well, and the glorious achievements of combinations like Eijerkamp-Paalman assure us that the future holds many more exciting races.
