Imagine this: the sky is cloudy, a gentle northwest wind is blowing, and the temperature is a comfortable 20 degrees Celsius. It’s May 19, 11:30 AM, and 9,760 pigeons take off from Arras, ready for a 208-kilometer flight to their home lofts. This sets the scene for an epic victory by none other than Richard van den Bos!
